The two resources have numerous things in common, they give you an example of how to do your work and a greater understanding of how to write up and solve your given problem. They also give you many different possible outcome for example on the internet you may come up with results that or not the same or don't have anything to do with your given subject this can also happen when you are doing your group discussions as different people will have different view on the subject and will possibly have different answers.
The resources are also different. They are different because they are just two opposite resources as using the internet is all IT and if it isn't explained properly you will never understand it rather as if it is Group Discussion it is physical and you can get people to help you understand what you want to know. Also Group discussion is different as you will probably learn more due to the fact that you are more involved with the group.
A good strategy. For using these resources a good strategy would be to use both together to give you a more in depth explanation and understanding of your given subject.
You would use these resources as they are complete opposites. This meaning it would give you a broader variety of answers for your work.
